l Research Interests

Ø Systems biology - Apply DNA microarray, mass spectrometry, 2-hybrid expression system, and bioinformatics technologies to (i) characterize the biomodules essential for cell survival upon environmental perturbations in Halobacterium sp. NRC-1 and Haloarcula marismortui and (ii) identify the new functions of more than 50% of all the predicted genes in these microorganisms.

Ø Biomarker discovery - Identify cancer diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets using bioinformatics and mass spectrometry tools.

Ø Technology development - EST database mining, mass spectrometry, and mass spectrometry data analysis system.
